*Hawaii’s Republican Party is not technically holding a presidential primary or caucus. Delegates will be selected during a week-long period tentatively ending on February 7, but they will not be committed to any candidates as part of the vote.

January 26, 2008 is the last day to register to vote in the presidential preference primary.(10 days before the election). Applications must be postmarked or delivered by the eleventh day prior to the election.

January 7, 2008 is the last day to register to vote in the 2008 presidential preferenceprimary.

January 6, 2008 is the last day to register to vote in the presidential preference primary.(30 days before the election.)

January 8, 2008 is the last day to register to vote for the 2008 presidential preferenceprimary. There is also a Grace Period Registration and Voting that runs from January 9,2008 to January 22, 2008.

Eligible Iowans may register to caucus with the Democratic or Republican party on theevening of the caucus at the caucus location, or prior to the caucus date if registrationapplication is delivered by 5 p.m. 10 days before the election, if it is a state primary orgeneral election; 11 days before all others. Registration forms which are postmarked 15or more days before an election are considered on time even if received after the deadline.

January 16, 2008 is the last day to register before the primary. Eligible Minnesotans canalso register to vote at the polling place on Election Day, or prior to this by delivering a voter registration application by 5:00 p.m. 21 days before the election.

February 10, 2008 is the last day to register for Mississippi’s primary. (30 days before the election)

January 9, 2008 is the last day to register for Missouri’s primary.

May 5 is the close of regular voter registration for the June 3, 2008 primary election.NOTE: If you miss this deadline, you may still register under late registration proceduresby showing up at the local election office up to and including on election day, filling outand submitting a voter registration card, and voting a ballot that you give to the electionoffice staff.

April 25, 2008 is the deadline to register to vote in the Nebraska presidential primary.

To participate in the Nevada Democratic or Republican presidential caucuses, you mustbe registered to vote with the respective party in Nevada. If you are not registered beforethe caucus, eligible Nevadans may register upon arrival at the caucus.

Eligible New Hampshire residents may register on election day at the polling place, orprior to that with the town or city clerk where they live up to 10 days before any election.

Deadline to register for voting in the 2008 presidential primary is February 27, 2008 at 5:00 p.m.

January 12, 2008 is the last day to register. (29 days before the election)

Washington (click to visit state site)
January 19, 2008 is the last day to register to vote in the Washington primary (by mail oronline) or eligible residents may also register in person up until February 4, 2008.

April 22, 2008 is the last day to register before the primary. (20 days before)

Wisconsin (click to visit state site)
January 30, 2008 is the last day for eligible Wisconsin residents to register to vote bymail for the February primary. Eligible residents can also register in person in the municipal clerk's office up to 5:00 PM or the close of business whichever is later on theday before the election, or at the polls on Election Day.

Wyoming (click to visit state site)
The deadline to register for the Republican caucus is December 6, 2007; the deadline forthe Democratic caucus is February 22, 2008. Qualified voters can also register at the pollson Election Day in Wyoming.

  • April 2008: 2008 Constitution Party National Convention, to be held in Kansas City, Missouri.
  • May 23-26, 2008: 2008 Libertarian National Convention, to be held in Denver, Colorado.
  • June 2008: Unity 08 National Convention, to be held online.
  • July 10-13, 2008: 2008 Green Party National Convention, to be held in Chicago, Illinois.
  • August 25-28, 2008: 2008 Democratic National Convention, to be held in Denver, Colorado.
  • September 1-4, 2008: 2008 Republican National Convention, to be held in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
  • November 4, 2008: All 50 states and the District of Columbia will hold elections toselect members of the Electoral College.
  • December 15, 2008: Members of the U.S. Electoral College meet in each state to casttheir votes for President and Vice President.
  • January 6, 2009: Electoral votes officially tallied before both Houses of Congress. Thisis the last opportunity for the certification of a state's electoral votes to becontested.
  • January 20, 2009: Inauguration Day.
