You must:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be a resident of Montana and of the county in which you want to vote for at least 30 days before the next election
- Be at least 18 years of age on or before the election
- Not be in a penal institution for a felony conviction
- Not currently be determined by a court to be of unsound mind
- Meet these qualifications by the next election day if you do not currently meet them

Date of Primary: Tuesday, June 3, 2008
Primary Registration Deadline: Monday, May 5, 2008 (30 days prior)
Late Registration: is available at any time right up through the close of polls on Election Day, except between 12:00 PM and 5:00 PM on the day before the election. However, registering early is beneficial to you and to your community. If you're not registered to vote, register as soon as possible! You may, at anytime, go into your county elections office and register and vote thirty days prior to the election.
