Vote Early Day is a nonpartisan holiday that was created in 2020 as a national day of action and celebration. The creation of this holiday was inspired by some of the barriers voters face on Election Day, such as long lines at the polls and last minute emergencies that can make voting difficult. The holiday aims to raise awareness of the additional opportunities and flexibility provided by early voting and ensure everyone has the tools to vote early.
